This Privacy Policy explains how Renew Coder ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the Kharcha mobile app for Android and iOS and the website kharcha.arsclasses.com (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy.
In short: we only store what you type or upload into Kharcha. We do not read your SMS, contacts, call logs, location or bank accounts. We do not show ads and we do not sell your data.

1. Information we collect

We do not collect your location, contact list, SMS, call logs, advertising IDs or health information.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service: store your entries and show balances, filters, reports and backups.
- To send notifications you turn on: emails and SMS about new or changed entries, and payment reminders.
- To send service messages: welcome email, password reset, plan activation and expiry.
- To verify subscription payments and manage plans.
- To give support, keep the Service secure, and prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not use your data for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
3. Who we share information with
Only service providers that help run the Service, and only what they need:
- Web hosting provider: stores the database and files on our server.
- Email service (our mail server / SMTP provider): delivers emails to you.
- Fast2SMS (India): delivers SMS alerts and reminders, if SMS is enabled. They receive the mobile number and message text.
- Google Drive: only if you connect it. Backups go to your own Drive using the
drive.filepermission, so the app sees only files it creates. You can disconnect any time.
We may also disclose information if required by law, a court order or a government authority, or to protect our users and the Service.
4. Data visible to your team
A business owner can add team members. Information in a business is visible to the people the owner adds, according to the permissions the owner sets:
- Owner and partners see all books in the business.
- Staff see only the books the owner allows, with only the allowed actions (view, add, edit, delete, download).
- Members can see each other's name, mobile and email on the Team page, and who added each entry.
- If a reminder is set to "remind the party", that party receives an SMS or email about the payment.
5. App permissions
- Internet: to connect to our server.
- Storage (Android 9 and older only): to save Excel or backup files to your Downloads folder.
- Photos / files (only when you tap an upload button): to choose a logo or payment screenshot. We never access your gallery in the background.
Phone, WhatsApp and UPI links open in other apps. Their own privacy policies apply there.
6. Security
All data travels over encrypted HTTPS. Passwords are stored as secure one-way hashes. Every request is checked against your role and book permissions. No system is 100% secure, so please keep your password private and download backups regularly.
7. How long we keep data
- Account and business records are kept while your account is active.
- Notification logs are deleted automatically after 90 days, and password-reset links expire after 1 hour.
- When you delete your account, its data is removed from the live database immediately. Copies in server backups may remain for up to 30 days.
- Payment records may be kept longer where tax or accounting law requires.
8. Deleting your account and data
- Open the app and go to My Profile.
- Tap Delete my account, enter your password and confirm.
This permanently deletes your account and every business you own, with all its books, entries, parties and reminders. Entries you added to someone else's business stay there without your name.
If you can't log in, email info@renewcoder.com from your registered email with the subject "Delete my Kharcha account" and your registered mobile number. We will delete your account within 7 days.
9. Your choices and rights
- Access and copy: download all your data any time from Backup & Restore.
- Correct: edit your profile, business details and entries in the app.
- Notifications: turn email and SMS alerts on or off in My Profile or Team.
- Delete: see section 8.
- Withdraw consent: disconnect Google Drive, or delete your account.
These rights are provided in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. To use any right or raise a complaint, contact our grievance contact below.
10. Children
The Service is meant for people aged 18 and over, or younger users supervised by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will change the date at the top. For important changes we will notify you in the app or by email.
